SkyConcepts Develops Business Model for Chicago West-Side Food Network
Sky Concepts Financial is working with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD), Breakthrough Urban Ministries, and food banks across the United States to develop a long-term, self-sustaining business model for the brand new Chicago West-Side Food Network which will distribute food to shelters, missions, food kitchens, and food pantries in five neighborhoods on the west side of Chicago.
With rising fuel costs and non-viable business models, food pantries and shelters would otherwise have to close their doors to thousands of hungry Chicagoans that depend on local food pantries to feed their families. SkyConcepts Financial is proud to donate time and expertise to lead this project. |

SkyConcepts Helps Chicago Nonprofit Become ECFA Certified
SkyConcepts Financial is donating time and expertise to help Chicago nonprofit Breakthrough Urban Ministries obtain Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) certification. SkyConcepts spent weeks on the west-side of Chicago drafting numerous new organizational and financial policies and procedures that met the
high standards set by ECFA including GAAP accounting standards and controls mandated by the Sarbanes Oxley Act. ECFA certification adds credibility and structure to Breakthrough’s organization in fundraising, financial controls, and compliance with doctrinal beliefs.
